ELO #7 - One little word at ScrappeMania

It's time for that little word again, and this month we chose the word "LIVE". I couldn't find a more suitable picture than this one from Jonas' birthday party. Talk about enjoying the screeeeeeem! A very simple layout, using scraps from the February kit from - you guessed it - Label Tulip. The brown stripe across the hole page is a masking tape that I sprayed with spray ink. Here you can see what the other girls came up with.

I think...

... I found my mojo, cause the ideas, motivation and energy for scrapbooking is back and I can't stop...ha! I've been scrapping a lot, but most of it will have to wait, but I do have one LO to show. The celebration is still ongoing at Label Tulips, and this time I made a layout with Christina's cool sentiments for the "day 7 challenge", and all with Sausandesigns papers and embellies (except the sentiment and journaling tag and buttons of course). I think this is my absolute favorite paper from Sausandesigns. So funky and colorful and very different from everything else out there (it's called "Stripey" from the Funky Funky collection). The green swirl is cut out of the "Dragonfly" paper and the flowers and leaves are stamped and cut out.

Just for fun..

... I jumped on this "challenge" on the 2peas blog. Jennifer Johner made a sketch, and I just new the minute I saw it, that this was perfect for my Ami Buttler butterflies that were lying on my desk. I made this layout in just minutes, using only scraps from my Label Tulip February kit (which is definitely my favorite kit till now from Label Tulip. I have made so much from it, and I still have stuff left). Anyway, loved this sketch and love this pic of Lotte, only 17 days old. Can't believe this is only 3 years ago.... Thank you Jennifer for sharing your beautiful creations. You inspire me!

This months ScRapp victim is......

...Lula!! Like I said a few days ago, she is one of Norways most talented scrapbookers and I love her colorful and eclectic style. I can assure you that a visit to her blog, is not wasted. And if you want to see the layout we decided to lift and the other maniadesigners cool layouts, pop over to the ScrappeMania blog.

I made my layout about our stop in the old city of Fredrikstad, a beautiful old little town, on our last visit to Norway. It is the best preserved fortress town in the Nordic countries and consists of buildings from the 18th century. The boys ran directly to these old canons, and I could just shoot away - lots of cool pics of these "old soldiers". I would have loved to photograph more of the town, but unfortunately we didn't have much time. If you are interested in seeing pictures of the town, I found this blog with a lot of beautiful pictures. It's worth a peak. I used all sausandesigns papers and stamp for this layout. The papers are from the singspring collection and the stamp from the borders set (I stamped on the ribbon). I really love the border stamps and use them all the time. The leaves are cut out from one of the design papers (fresh breeze) and added with glue dots.
And while I was at it, I decided to make one more layout with Mats, also using Sausandesign paper (blue blossom).

And I am sorry for the picture overload, but there might actually be someone reading this who is interested in the following pics (like my mother...). You can tell they are having fun, can't you.....

Just a "sweet" layout...and a sneakie

This months RAK challenge over at Label Tulip is to make something about or with "sweet and delicious", so I decided to make a lo about some of the birthday cakes I have made for the children the last 5 years. When you see them all in one place, it seems kind of overwhelming, ha, ha. And I could eat some cake right NOW, actually. Hard to believe that there are SO many delicious cakes out there that one could bake. I used stuff from different Label Tulip kits on this one and the pics are from an index card (I printed them in index format).

..and here is a sneakie of my layout to the scRapp that is comming up in 2 days, full of Sausan designs goodies. Stay tuned to see who we lifted this month... She is one of the most talented scrapbookers in Norway...

Have a sweet day....

PS. Did you see the last issue of CK? I had a layout in there in the "tips and tricks" article. Fun!!!

Party at Label Tulip... and my photo RAK

..are you enjoying the warm weather as much as I am? The only problem with good weather is that you get less time to scrapbook or do computer related stuff, which might explane why my blog has been quite quiet lately. I was however lucky to have a babysitter yesterday, and managed to do a few pages (after a loooong period of no scrapbooking at all). It felt GOOD! What got me going was the day 2 challenge at Label Tulips 2 year celebration party; the Tulip girl lift challenge. I found 2 layouts that I wanted to lift right away, and there is a chance that I will be doing more lifts. So much "goodness" and inspiring stuff.

The first lift is of Anabelle O'Malley's layout "Candy man" from the June gallery and is about my beautiful niece Mercedes. I used stuff and papers from the May kit (the 2009 stamp is from an older kit), the big circle is just a normal cup cake liner.

And my second lift is of Danielle Flanders' "the 4 of us" layout from the May gallery. I loved the setup of that layout and the use of the little sassafraslass chipboard frames. I used products from the May kit for this layout as well.

And now to the photo-RAK. I promised a RAK for one of the commenters on my new photoblog, and I have had a little drawing today (sorry for the delay). And the winner is............

....Lucia M!!!!!! Congrats! I was SO happy to draw your little name out of my box. It so happens that Lucy is my dear cousine and a very talented photographer as well, and just as busy with "creativelyness" (yes, I made that word up) as I am. Must be the genes.... So dear Lucy, send me your picture, and I will turn it into something cool.

Have a great sunday everyone!!!! and thank you for stopping by.
