So today is a big day here in Holland. The country is celebrating "Koninginnedag" and the flags are out, but for us the big occasion is our BIG little boy. Happy birthday, Jonas. Gratulerer med dagen! Gefeliciteerd!!!! I'm off to finish the cake, just as the sun's coming out...

I have been using my sewing machine lately, inspired to make a few simple and quick projects with cool fabrics and scraps. Here are some needle cushions. The motives in the middle are stamped using archival ink. I also added some lavender seeds inside, so they smell great. Tune in tomorrow for more project ideas.
